FLORIDA PERMIT DATA
What this page is based on
Data through August 2026
- Matching records in our dataset
- 2,663,640
- Permit terms covered
- 398
The records come from a selected set of Florida jurisdictions with unequal coverage, and every number on this page is scoped to them.
How we count.
Method
A value reported on an application
Declared job value comes from the published permit field. Depending on the application, it may reflect a contract, estimate or another basis of valuation.
The dataset does not independently verify those amounts or establish what was ultimately paid.
- Declared job value, all matching permits
- $11,400
- Middle half of declared values
- $5,000–$28,000
- Permits with a declared value
- 4,104,338
Declared job value is the value shown on the permit application, not a contract price, and nothing in the records verifies it.
Why the site shows a median
Very large values and token entries can distort an average. The median identifies the middle value, with the middle portion of the distribution shown where enough records are available.
The value band is omitted when the sample is too small. A large sample still does not verify the individual amounts.
Using the values
The figures can help compare the declared values associated with different terms, subject to differences in coverage, reporting and project scope.
They should not be used as an estimate or quote. Your project's cost depends on the property, design, materials and work agreed with the relevant providers.
- Median declared value, swimming pool
- $35,000
- Middle half $9,846–$65,200, n=97,940 permits with a declared value
- Median declared value, new construction
- $233,300
- Middle half $148,500–$320,876, n=49,721 permits with a declared value
Declared job value is the value shown on the permit application, not a contract price, and nothing in the records verifies it.
